High-Quality Longview & Vancouver Orthodontic Care

It's not a surprise to anyone to know that orthodontic treatment is a long journey that consists of a lot of hard work for a patient. With that being said, the benefits of orthodontic treatment and the straight and healthy smile that result from it always outweigh the work. However, what if we told you that by visiting your Longview and Vancouver, WA orthodontist, we at the practice of Dr. Lauren Cai can simplify your orthodontic treatment and cut the time needed by up to 50 percent? You may think that it sounds like just a dream. Well, that dream is now a reality with Propel Orthodontics.

The Propel Procedure Longview & Vancouver Orthodontic Care

The Propel Procedure

Propel is a quick and simple process that can be performed in our Longview and Vancouver, WA offices. Our orthodontist will use orthodontic X-rays to determine the size of the existing gaps between your teeth. These areas are where we'll perform the micro-osteoperforation. We'll feel the bone beneath your gums to physically confirm these findings and administer a local anesthetic to keep you from feeling any pain. Our Longview and Vancouver orthodontist will use the Propel device to make a tiny hole through your gum and into the underlying bone. On either side of every tooth to be moved, somewhere from one-to-three holes will be made, based on the bone that's available.

In some cases, it may only need to be performed once and in other cases, it may be performed once every two months or so. As long as you can undergo orthodontic treatment, you're a suitable candidate to receive all of the benefits that Propel offers.

The Benefits Of Using Propel

There are a number of reasons to use Propel along with your orthodontic treatments. These benefits include, but aren't limited to, the following:

  • Propel will help your teeth shift faster and your tissues heal quicker than they would with orthodontic treatment alone.
  • Propel can even speed the movement of the teeth by up to 50 or 60 percent, which can cut the treatment time in half.
  • You won't need time to recover afterward; you'll be able to return to your regular routine immediately.
  • Propel can be used with both braces and Invisalign.
  • It's clinically proven and safe.
